CN announced that members of the Canadian National Railways Police Association (CNRPA) have ratified a new collective agreement with the company, under which 74 active CN Police officers in Canada will obtain improved wages and benefits over the next four years. The new agreement will go into effect as of January 1 of 2014.

Sean Finn, CN Executive Vice-President, Corporate Services and Chief Legal Officer, said:  “We are very pleased that the parties reached an early agreement for a second contract renewal in a row. The parties’ dedication to reaching an agreement demonstrates their ability to work together and to concentrate their efforts on addressing and resolving issues in the best interests of CN and the CNRPA’s membership.”

Gerry St. George, CNRPA National President, said:  “The new agreement and the process of negotiating it underscore the effectiveness of the dialogue our association has with the company. That said, this would never have been possible without our members’ ongoing support.
