Canadian Pacific announced the completion of its new head office in its Ogden Yard in Calgary, Alberta. With more than 200,000 square feet, the new building will provide a space that supports the needs of its operations, and restates its commitment to Calgary and to the communities in which it operates.
CP began moving employees to Ogden by late summer, with 70 per cent of its employees scheduled to be moved by the end of October. The move is to be finalized by year’s end. When the move is completed, approximately 1,900 employees will be based at CP’s new headquarters. Canadian Pacific is excited to be reconnecting with its core business and getting back to its roots, in the location where CP started its Calgary operations one hundred years ago. Construction of a new head office building located in Ogden solidifies its presence as a corporate player in Calgary. Canadian Pacific has operated at Ogden for 100 years, and relocating its headquarters to property it owns makes sense.
The new building has a fitness centre, a cafeteria, a running track, an outdoor seating area, and green space. Free parking is available for employees and CP is providing a temporary shuttle service from the 39th Ave. CTrain Station to the new headquarters.
