The Canadian government has begun to launch the early phases of a program that parallels the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s ACE eManifest program. Starting this year, trucked cargo manifest information must be received in Canada Border Services Agency’s Advance Commercial Information Highway systems at least one hour prior to arrival at a Canadian border crossing. The truck carrier must transmit the manifest electronically or face penalties and shipment delays.

Deringer will offer, starting March 14, a webinar that will explain the new program requirements and will promote the company’s solutions to facilitate data entry and increase compliance.

The following topics will be discussed during the hour-long webcast: background of regulations; timeline; requirements; and Deringer’s solutions for U.S. and Canadian eManifest submission.

The webinar will be presented by Erica Holmes, Deringer’s District Manager, overseeing Vermont and Maine operations. With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Ms. Holmes serves on Deringer’s leadership team, providing insight and helping to guide the company’s strategic direction. In addition to holding a U.S. Customs brokerage license, Ms. Holmes is also a Certified Customs Specialist.

Deringer will offer the presentation as a pre-recorded webinar, which will allow people unlimited access to review the information. An Internet link and reference material will be sent to registrants as specified in the webinar invitation.  Registrants will be given one week to submit any questions they may. Once all questions have been gathered, they will be answered and sent to all registrants
