“Once it hits the ground, it’s running,” says Sr. Vice President and General Manager Kevin Hagen of Fluke Transportation Group’s approach to moving cargo efficiently.

Fluke Transportation Group is the largest trucking and warehousing company operating at the Port of Hamilton, serving customers throughout Ontario, Quebec and eastern Canada as well as upper New York State. The company moves up to 350 loads a day to all points. Its fleet of 120 power units and more than 300 trailers carry a wide range of consumer goods, including temperature-controlled loads. Providing both truckload and LTL services, Fluke offers its customers maximum flexibility.

Fluke also occupies a 500,000-square-foot, clean, heated warehouse facility at the Port of Hamilton’s Pier 15.

“No matter the cargo, we work closely with our customers to meet all of their needs,” says Kevin Hagen. The distribution centre handles short and long-term storage, with pallets, racking, bulk, pick & pack services, kitting and assembly.

The company’s home base and warehousing location offers a competitive strength because of its proximity to the 400-series of highways. Hamilton is also strategically located on the western end of the Golden Horseshoe, a significant advantage when it comes to accessing the U.S. border.

Fluke’s warehousing and ground transportation services are closely integrated, and represent an important multimodal connection for cargo owners at the Port of Hamilton.

The company’s clever and familiar slogan is a nod to the company’s ability to consistently deliver on customer expectations: “if it’s on time, it’s a FLUKE.”
