This year’s event, the 13th Annual, had over 1,000 truckers/visitors stopping by throughout the day as Montreal Gateway Terminals Partnership (MGT) recognized the hard working trucking community that visits MGT’s terminals on a daily basis.
As the day progressed, the anticipation of hot-dogs and hamburgers mounted, and happy visitors from several shipping lines along with those of a number of trucking companies met at Section 77 to share in various informative exchanges.
This year MGT was focused on thinking of the truckers’ personal security and distributed protective credit card holders used for blocking RFID signals used by thieves to steal credit card or other personal information. Along with those holders, MGT distributed carry-around folders that have a practical use for keeping the daily documentation truckers’ from constantly shuffling around.
MGT wishes to thank the trucking community for its outstanding work and collaboration, and wishes to thank Montreal Mariners’ House for the maintenance of facilities to welcome seafarers from all over the world. “Each year MGT places donation boxes at both terminals to raise funds for Mariners’ House. Once the total amount is calculated, MGT matches the amount and sends a cheque to Mariners’ House of Montreal.”
