Nunavut Sealink and Supply Inc. (NSSI) has been selected by the Government of Nunavut to provide sealift services to 25 of the total 26 communities populating the Qikiqtani, Kivalliq and Kitikmeot areas.

NSSI, a leader in the Arctic sealift industry, provides cargo services to all Nunavut communities, as well as to the great majority of the mining projects and a variety of other project sites in Nunavut.  NSSI will continue to service its clients in Iqaluit.

With 2012 sealift operations now in progress, most cargo carriage to destination communities will be loaded at the company’s dock facilities in Sainte-Catherine, located South of Montreal, along the St. Lawrence Seaway.

NSSI was pioneered in 2000 through a partnership between Arctic Co-ops Limited, its major  shareholder, and Desgagnés Transarctik Inc. (DTI), its managing partner.

NSSI provides transportation services by sea to Nunavut Sealift users. The company has a long history of successful operations in Nunavut, delivering cargo of all types.

NSSI’s steady growth is supported by its expert resources combined with the deployment of a growing fleet of modern, ice-class cargo ships, most of which are equipped for heavy-lift operations. NSSI deploys support vessels, such as large combinations  of tugs and barges, for transferring, between ship at anchor and shore, heavy and dimensional mining cargo, as well as high-volume project cargo.
