Port of Halifax welcomed His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, for a briefing on the operations and advantages offered by the Port.
Port officials provided an overview of the port facilities and explained how Halifax connects shippers to markets worldwide.
“The Port of Halifax is one of Canada’s trade gateways and we have a long history of moving goods and people to and from Canada. We were pleased to have the opportunity to discuss the role Port of Halifax plays as a trade gateway with His Excellency,” said Karen Oldfield, President and CEO, Halifax Port Authority (HPA).
Halifax connects exporters and importers with 150 countries, especially in Europe and Asia, which was highlighted throughout the briefing.
