At the annual convention of the Association of American Port Authorities (AAPA) held in Mobile, Alabama, three staff members of Port Saint John have agreed to serve on AAPA’s Board, or to serve on its Committees.
Jim Quinn, President and CEO, joined the Board of Directors of AAPA as a representative of the Atlantic Canada and St. Lawrence Caucus for a one-year term; Paula Small, Manager of Public Relations & Corporate Secretary, was appointed Chair of AAPA’s Public Relations Committee for a two-year term; and Andrew Dixon, Senior Vice-President Planning & Development, was appointed 1st Vice Chair of AAPA’s Cruise Committee for a two-year term.
Founded in 1912, AAPA today represents more than 130 seaport Authorities in the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean and about 300 sustaining, associate and honorary members, firms and individuals with an interest in seaports. As Western Hemisphere populations continue to rise, so too does the demand for goods, services and cruise offerings that depend on seaports. To meet these demands, AAPA and its members are committed to keeping seaports navigable, secure and sustainable.
