Supply Chain & Logistics Association Canada (SCL) recently ann­ounced the retirement of Bob Armstrong, President, effective July 31, 2012.

Bob Armstrong, who joined SCL as President in 2006, has elected to step aside after 6 years of active service. During Mr. Armstrong’s tenure as President, he established many valuable research projects and strategic partnerships as well as developing relationships and business trade missions with China.

Alison Toscano will fulfill the role of Executive Director as the SCL Board evaluates succession plans for Mr. Armstrong. Ms. Toscano has been Director of Operations for the Association since 2004. Utilizing her multilingual background and her 30 years of experience spanning the high-tech and not-for-profit management sectors, Ms. Toscano provides the supply chain and logistics community with valuable communications, event planning and management expertise combined with excellent administrative leadership.

“We are confident that Alison will provide strong management leadership to the SCL team,” says Al Norrie, Chairman of SCL.

SCL is an association consisting of more than 830 professional members in manufacturing, retailing, and other Canadian service providers.
